“Head in the Game” is an approach to performance that can enable athletes of all ages take their game to a new level. By utilizing a combination of cognitive restructuring, visualization, and relaxation techniques, “Head in the Game” endeavors to help individuals and teams further define and achieve their athletic goals.

 

“Head in the Game” was started by Robert Bumbaco. Robert is a sport and performance coach and former competitive athlete. From 1997-1999, he played for the Pittsburgh Junior Penguins in the Metro Junior A Hockey League and the Markham Waxers of the Ontario Provincial Junior A Hockey League. From 1999-2002, he was a member of the NCAA Division 1 Men’s Hockey Team at Niagara University.  He and Dr. Carole Kunkle-Miller have combined their skills to help athletes of all ages.

Services Offered:

Individual, Team, Virtual Sessions

Individual Sessions (45-60 minutes), Team Sessions (60-90 minutes)

What to expect:

-Learn to set team/individual performance goals
-Learn cognitive restructuring techniques to reduce negative self-talk
-Develop relaxation and visualization strategies
-Learn to work through adversity and pressure situations
-Develop better teamwork and communication
-Learn how to effectively coach/parent an athlete

Fees:

Individual Sessions: $125/hr               Team Sessions: $200/hr

Training Sessions:  3 Individual Sessions: $300, 3 Team Sessions: $75 (3 Player Minimum)

Module 1- Building Blocks

Module 2- Goal Setting

Module 3- Performance Anxiety
