“Life is not what it’s supposed to be. It’s what it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.”
Life does not always follow a plan. While we are not always able to change what happens, we have a choice in how we cope. My role is to help bring clarity to all the choices that are available and to provide support in deciding how to move forward.
I have worked in a variety of community mental health programs prior to joining Dr. Kunkle-Miller’s practice. Most recently I spent 6 years providing counseling services to families within a busy pediatric practice.
My goal is to help individuals and families overcome whatever obstacles prevent them from achieving their goals. I use a variety of techniques and a trauma-informed care approach. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor. I have a Master’s Degree in Counselor Education from Duquesne University. I offer individual and family counseling for a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, stress management, Women’s issues, school concerns, relational issues, and parenting support.
